Week 2: The Battle Of The Basils – Nick vs. Gerard

What a week it’s been, folks!
We weren’t expecting to see results this early, but we’re thrilled that nature had other plans. The first sprouts are pushing through, and the excitement is real! Things are just getting started, and we can’t wait to see what unfolds next!

Now, let’s swing over to Nick’s corner and see what’s cooking.

Check it out! Nick’s basil is officially breaking through the soil! It looks like that home-field advantage in Maine is paying off. The cool evening temps aren’t slowing him down one bit, in fact, it’s full steam ahead on the Basil Express!

Nick is off to a strong start in the competition, with his basil already showing impressive early growth! No signs of parsley or sage just yet, but there's still plenty of time! We'll be checking back in with him soon to see how things are sprouting.

It’s safe to say Gerard was both surprised and thrilled by the early growth during the first week! Since planting, he’s been out there every day, keeping a close eye on his basil babies, especially with South Florida’s rainy and stormy season kicking in. With all that water in the forecast, he’s making sure they’re not getting drowned this early on. While it’s not quite the bumper crop that Nick’s managed, we’re still seeing some promising signs. Here’s hoping this is just the start of a long line of thriving basil plants!

It might be a modest start, but Gerard is confident he's got what it takes to turn the tide. Like Nick, we’ve yet to see any signs of Sage or Parsley, but the contest is still in its early days, and as they say, good things take time.

Week 2 might be in the books, but trust me, this is just the beginning! The rivalry between these two fierce contestants is heating up, and the competition is getting REAL. Both are hungry for that ultimate win, but who will rise to the top? Don’t miss out! Check back next week for all the latest twists, turns, and jaw-dropping moments. You won’t want to miss what’s coming next!
